Harvey Castle began as a personal archive — a shelf of books and objects assembled over years of looking. It grew into something with a clearer intention: to make and share things that reward sustained attention.

The studio works across three areas. The Library is an ongoing catalogue of rare books and printed matter — volumes we’ve collected, researched, or been unable to stop thinking about. The Archive publishes writing on art history, material culture, and the objects that carry meaning through time. The Shop sells goods made or sourced with the same care — starting with incense, which is perhaps the oldest form of intentional atmosphere.

The name comes from an imagined place: a house with too many rooms, where every surface has a history. Not a museum — a home.
